offers the perfect seasonal greetings for motorsport fans, who like to surprise their friends.
Racing Christmas, the name of my Christmas card collection is self-evident.

My goal was to combine seasonal feelings with the racing world – two things which normally do not go
together for obvious reasons.
​
The philosophy behind these paintings is to bring joy and laughter to the viewer, but also to show
authentic cars on real race tracks – though they are covered with lots of snow. Garnished with many
seasonal attributes they tell a story with a twinkle of an eye.
​
This is why each motive is a composition of reality and fiction. I wanted to create a final product, which
brings back memories and gives a hint of how a specific scene could have looked like in winter.
You will hardly find real people (apart from the drivers in the cars of course) in one of the cards –
instead there are snowmen, reindeers and Santa himself.
​
As Christmas cards are newsworthy only for a limited time each year, the paintings are done with a
quick brushstroke. The size of the originals is usually only about 35x50cm. Cars and circuits are done
as authentic as possible, so you insiders will recognize the scene from the past easily.
​
As with my big paintings, there is a lot of research going into each motive, to get it historically correct
as much as possible.
​
The execution is by far not photo realistic, but if you observe exactly, you will find the odd funny detail
on each card.
​
Apart from the more than fifty cards available in the shop, there is also a possibility to commission a
painting for your own specific purpose. More about this you will find elsewhere on the Christmas card
section of this website. There as well some of the originals purchasable, which are signed by drivers
depicted on the paintings.
