Peter Collins

Acrylics on canvas, 100x70cm

To support my dear friend Mark Andrews' crowdfunding campaign to produce a memorial to former British F1 driver Peter Collins, I did an acrylic painting in a sort of Art Deco style. The original painting was gifted to the person who donated the largest amount (£1200) to the fund. In addition, a limited edition of 100 prints were signed by famous people who were connected to Collins in one way or another. These prints were given to each contributor, valued at £100 or more. Two busts were cast: One is on permanent display in the von Trips exhibition at the Nürburgring, the other will be set up at the start line of his home track in Shelsley Walsh. What a fascinating project this was!
The picture shows Peter at the 1958 Monaco GP in the Gasworks hairpin, watched by his wife Louise. In the background are their boat Mipooka and the Monaco harbor.

Jo Leberer

Acrylics on Canvas, size is 80x40cm.

Legendary F1 physiotherapist Jo Leberer kindly gave me an interview during the Hockenheim GP in 2020. The painting I did for the occasion was a comic book style scene and showed his physiotherapy rooms with some prominent patients. The Sauber team made a video about it, which was shown on Instagram the next day.

To celebrate his remarkable career, I created a “comic book style” painting which Sebastian kindly signed in the paddock at Monza 2022. The painting also attracted some attention within the crew, and was featured on Aston Martin's YouTube channel following the Italian GP

Hotel / Museum Meilenstein in Langenthal/CH

Originally only planned for four weeks, many of my original paintings are now permanently located in the Museum / Hotel Meile in Langenthal/CH. It started with the theme “Swiss racing drivers”, but over time it became a little more relaxed and the images now also cover international drivers and cars. They are definitely a wonderful addition to Jo Vonlanthen's great F1 collection - please visit the museum and take a look!
